PROGRAMA NIÑOS DE AFGANISTÁN

El club Rotary de Jávea, en colaboración con el teniente de la guardia civil José Manuel Recio Cano, actualmente  destinado en la base militar Española de Camp Arena  en Herat (Afganistán), organizan un programa de envío de ropa y zapatos infantiles  para ser repartidos por el ejercito Español en la citada localidad.

El proyecto surge de la necesidad detectada por el teniente Recio y la posibilidad real de ayuda utilizando la solidaridad de nuestros compatriotas, la organización de Rotary  España y la capacidad de su unidad para entregar esta ayuda.

El material recogido, (usado pero en buenas condiciones), limpio, doblado y ordenado en cajas de cartón de 0,5 m 3 aproximadamente, serán entregadas en la base militar del ejército del aire más cercana (Alcantarilla o San Javier), para su posterior envío a Madrid y de  allí a Herat.

Para organizar la recogida necesitamos la ayuda de los centros escolares, personal docente o asociaciones de padres.
La ropa y zapatos, exclusivamente de bebés, preescolares y escolares, se pueden entregar en los locales preestablecidos de los colegios para ser recogidos posteriormente por miembros del club Rotary.
Los zapatos, si tienen cordones, atados uno con otro. Si no los tienen, emparejados  en bolsa de plástico transparente.
Sería conveniente recoger en distintas cajas las camisetas,  pantalones, chándal,  jerséis, chaquetas, pijamas… Los conjuntos de dos piezas, en bolsa de plástico transparente.
Nos gustaría iniciar los envíos a finales de Abril, primeros de mayo.

NEW PROJECT, CHILDREN OF AFGHANISTAN PROGRAM

Rotary Club Javea, in collaboration with the Lieutenant of the Guardia Civil Mr. Jose Manuel Recio Cano, currently based in the Spanish military base of Camp Arena in Herat (Afghanistan), has arranged a program to send there clothes and shoes for Children to be distributed through the Spanish Army.
The project was contemplated as lieutenant Recio detected the need and the real chance to help with the solidarity of our compatriots, the Spanish Rotary and the great capacity of the unit to hand over this help.
The collected material, (used but in good conditions), clean, folded and arranged in cases of 0,5 m3 approximately, will be delivered to the closest Military Air Base (Alcantarilla or San Javier), to be sent to Madrid, and from there to Herat.
To arrange the collection we need help from Schools, teachers and PTA. Clothes and shoes, exclusive for babies, preschool and schoolchild, can be delivered in the established school premises to be collected by the Rotary Club.
Shoes with laces have to be tied up. Shoes without lace have to be put in transparent plastic bags.
It would be convenient to collect in different boxes T-shirts, trousers, tracksuits, sweaters, jackets, pyjamas…, putting in transparent plastic bags the matching clothes.
We would like to start sending at the end of April or beggining of May.
