CHARLA DE NUESTRO COMPAÑERO JOSE MANUEL

En una cena entre amigos, y en la reunión semanal del Club, le dimos la bienvenida a nuestro compañero Jose Manuel Recio, que estuvo varios meses destinado en la base militar Española de Herat en Afghanistan.

Jose Manuel dio una pequeña charla con una presentación fotográfica del país en el que ha estado destinado durante meses, explicando sus costumbres, economia y como se vivie en la base Española.

Los detalles de las vicisitudes que pasan los militares en la base y de los distintos destacamentos internacionales que hay en la base. La pobreza y dificultades de los lugareños.

Al final de la charla, el presidente del Club Joaquin Ballester, le entregó un Paul Harris en reconocimiento de su gran obra realizada, representando a nuestro club y a Rotary Internacional con la entrega de ropa y calzado para niños, proyecto que empezó y se esta llevando a cabo.

TALK OF OUR MATE JOSE MANUEL

At a dinner with friends, and at the weekly meeting of the Club, we welcomed our mate Jose Manuel Recio, who spent several months serving in the Spanish military base in Herat in Afghanistan.

Jose Manuel gave a brief talk with a photographic presentation of the country where he has been stationed for months, explaining their habits, economy and how people lived on the Spanish base.

The details of the events that happens to the militaries in the base and the various international detachments on the base. The poverty and plight of the villagers.

At the end of the talk, Club President Joaquin Ballester, gave him a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his great work performed, representing our club and Rotary International with the delivery of clothing and footwear for children, a project started and still carrying out.
